The Allegro Film is a 1989 by Helmut Grasser based Austrian film production company based in Vienna . Feature films and documentaries are produced for cinema and television. Along with Dor Film , Wega Film , MR Film and Satel Film, Allegro Film is one of the largest and most successful Austrian film production companies .

Since it was founded, the company has produced over 30 cinema and television films. The most successful production to date came in 2005 with the documentary We Feed the World made by Erwin Wagenhofer , which is one of the most successful films of recent decades with 200,000 moviegoers in Austria. The production was also extremely successful internationally, with around 300,000 visitors in Germany and 140,000 in France. Allegro Film's next most successful productions were Hundstage (2001) by Ulrich Seidl , who also received a silver lion in Venice , Drei Herren (1998) by Nikolaus Leytner and Der Überfall (2000) by Florian Flicker , each with just over 100,000 visitors in Austria as well You're dead in 3 days (2006) by Andreas Prochaska with around 85,000 visitors.

Allegro Film is a member of the Film Austria interest group with these and other production companies, most of which are focused on commercially successful productions . This was re-established in April 2006 after there were differences of opinion with the other film production companies in the association of austrian filmproducers (AAFP) , which are mostly focused on artistic films . Deputy President of Film Austria is the Allegro Film director, Helmut Grasser.
