societies

FC Zurich

In November 2013, FC Zurich announced that Sadiku had signed a contract on January 1, 2014 until June 30, 2018. Before that he played for FC Lugano in the second highest league for around one and a half years and scored a total of 26 goals in 43 championship games. He made his debut for FC Zurich in a 1-0 home win against FC Sion when he came on for Franck Etoundi in the 82nd minute of the game . At the home game against FC St. Gallen in May 2014, Sadiku tore a cruciate ligament in the 70th minute after being substituted on and had to be replaced again as a result. The 2013/14 season , which FC Zurich ultimately finished in 4th place, had ended prematurely for him and he was also unable to participate at the start of the new 2014/15 season . He returned about six months later on November 30, 2014 in the 2-1 home game defeat against FC Basel , where he came on for Davide Chiumiento in the 71st minute .

FC Vaduz

In January 2016, Sadiku switched to league competitor FC Vaduz on loan until the end of the season . He made his debut on matchday 19 in a 5-2 away win against his former club FC Lugano . He contributed two hits and two assists and was instrumental in the victory. With his seven goals in 16 games, he helped FC Vaduz to stay in the top Swiss league, while his home club FC Zurich had to relegate to the Challenge League at the end of the season . For the new season he returned to FC Zurich.

FC Lugano

After Sadiku played the first half of the 2016/17 season for FC Zurich , he returned to his former club FC Lugano on loan for the second half . He scored a total of nine times in 16 games and secured the team third place in the Super League , which, thanks to FC Basel's cup win over FC Sion, meant direct participation in the group stage of the 2017/18 UEFA Europa League . At the end of the season, the loan ended and Sadiku returned to FC Zurich.

Legia Warsaw

Sadiku joined the Polish first division team Legia Warsaw at the beginning of the 2017/2018 season . There he scored two goals in 17 league games. He was also able to score four goals in four appearances in the cup. After half a year, the Levante UD announced on January 31, 2018 that it had signed Sadiku.

Levante UD

Sadiku currently has a contract with the Spanish first division UD Levante until 2020. He played his first game for Levante UD on February 26 after a long knee injury. He then spent the 2018/19 season on loan with his former club FC Lugano and the following season he was loaned to FC Málaga .

National team

At the European Football Championship in France in 2016 , he was included in the Albanian squad and was part of the starting XI in all games. In the third group game against Romania , he scored the first goal for Albania at a European Championship , which also meant the country's first European Championship victory. Although his team left the opponent behind in the group, it was eliminated as one of the two worst thirds in the group.
