Railway stations in Baden-Württemberg |
The former Bronnbach (Tauber) station is now a stop at Kloster Bronnbach and is on the Lauda – Wertheim railway line . The former train station or the stop is named for the surrounding residential area Bronnbach train station in the hamlet of Bronnbach on the boundary of the Wertheimer village Reicholzheim in the Main-Tauber district in the Franconian north-east of Baden-Württemberg .
history
Bronnbach station was completed in 1868. The main features of the station building have been preserved to this day. It stands across the railway line and has two waiting rooms, one in 1st class and one in 2nd class. When the station went into operation, there were two level crossings in the double-track station area. The level crossing at the Tauberbrücke still exists today and is automated. The other level crossing at the former freight hall was used as a call barrier by the station staff from 1971 when the gatekeeper was closed . For goods traffic, the station was given a goods shed, loading tracks and loading ramps as well as a 40-tonne scales. In 1995 the track systems, switches and signals were converted or dismantled so that only the main track and a level crossing with half barriers and a set of traffic lights remain. Bronnbach was renamed in 2002 as an unoccupied stop in Bronnbach Monastery . The goods shed north of the reception building no longer exists.
The building went into private ownership. For this purpose, a ticket machine was set up at the level crossing on the Tauberbrücke, which has since been dismantled.
In August 2016, the platform was moved further towards the bridge. It is now 100 meters long, 2.5 meters wide, 55 cm high , has barrier-free access via a ramp, a tactile guidance system, loudspeakers, train destination display and a bus shelter with ticket machine and information boards. At the same time, the platform was equipped with new LED lighting.
Monument protection
The reception building of the former train station is recorded together with all other Bronnbach cultural monuments as a whole in the monuments book of the state of Baden-Württemberg. Bronnbach station is also part of the "Badische Taubertalbahn" entity .
