Bedihošť (German Bedihoscht ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located four kilometers southeast of Prostějov and belongs to the Okres Prostějov .

geography

Bedihošť is on the right side of the Valová in the Hanna . The Malý potůček flows around the town to the west and south. The Prostějov airfield is located northwest of the village. Neighboring towns are Čechůvky in the north, Kralice na Hané in the northeast, Hrubčice in the east, Otonovice in the southeast, Čehovice in the south, Výšovice in the southwest, Žešov in the west and Prostějov in the northwest.

history

The first written mention of Behihosstz comes from the year 1249, it is said to be a medieval falsification. Another mention took place in 1275, at that time the place consisted of a tavern and a forge. During the 15th and 16th centuries, the village was then called Bedyjost , Bedyhossty , Bedihossty and Bedihošče . Since 1720 the name form Bedihoscht has been handed down and in 1846 the place was called Budihošť .

Bedihošť was parish in Kralice. In 1880 the place consisted of 51 houses and had 784 inhabitants, including 74 Germans. On January 1, 1983 Václavice lost its status as a district and was integrated into the village of Bedihošť.
