history
Archaeological finds prove a settlement of the communal corridors since the Neolithic . The name of the village suggests that it was built on episcopal land. This is probably why it was founded after the foundation of the Diocese of Olomouc in 1063 . The first written mention of Biskupice dates from 1131.
Until 1791, Klopotovice was the school place for Biskupice. In 1795 classes began in the Biskupice branch school. Before the abolition of patrimonial in 1848, Biskupice belonged to the Prostějov rule for a long century. At that time the place was known for its cattle breeding and exhibitions were held. In 1834 371 people lived in Biskupice; the place consisted of 51 houses. In 1863 a new school building was built, which had to be expanded in 1892 due to the increased number of students. In 1905 81 children went to school there. In 1921 the village had 358 inhabitants. In the same year, as part of the land reform, Wilhelm Guttman's large estates were divided. The districts Olečka, Konec, V kótě and Dědina merged with Biskupice into one unit. The parish is Kralice.
