Němčice nad Hanou (German Niemtschitz an der Hanna ) is a city in the Czech Republic . It is located 15 kilometers northwest of Kroměříž in the Hanna and belongs to the Okres Prostějov .
geography
The city is located east of the Drahaner Bergland on the left bank of the Haná . State road 433 runs through Němčice from the end of the D 1 motorway near Mořice to Prostějov .
Neighboring towns are Pivín in the north, Hruška in the northeast, Měrovice nad Hanou in the east, Dlouhá Ves in the southeast, Vrchoslavice and Mořice in the south, Nezamyslice in the southwest and Víceměřice in the west.
history
The first written mention of Němčice comes from 1131. Until the beginning of the 15th century, the village was called Zelené Němčice . In 1563 the place was raised to market by Ferdínand I. at the request of the owner of the Kojetein rule , Vratislavs von Pernstein . After Johann von Pernstein died, his inheritance fell to the Salm family . In 1720 the Archdiocese of Prague acquired the manorial power, further owners were the aristocratic families Kaunitz and Metternich . After patrimonial was replaced, the market became part of the political district of Kremsier in 1848 . In 1864 the first election of local self-government bodies took place and the farmer Florián Kyselák became the first elected mayor of Němčice.
Since 1960 Němčice belongs to the Okres Prostějov and in 1970 it was granted city rights.
