The Benz 12/30 PS was added to the smaller Benz 10/30 PS as a special cab model in 1909 .

The car was equipped with a four cylinder in-line engine with 3020 cc capacity, the 32.5 hp (23.9 kW) at 1800 min -1 developed. The engine power was passed on to a four-speed gearbox via a leather cone clutch and from there to the rear wheels via a cardan shaft. The top speed was 67 km / h and the fuel consumption was 17 l / 100 km.

The vehicles were still equipped with wooden spoke wheels and leaf-sprung rigid axles.
