The Benz 18/45 PS was the more powerful successor to the Benz 16/40 PS .

The car was equipped with a four cylinder in-line engine with 4710 cc capacity, the 45 HP (33 kW) at 1650 min -1 developed. The engine power was passed on to a four-speed gearbox via a leather cone clutch and from there to the rear wheels via a cardan shaft. The top speed was 75 km / h and the fuel consumption was 20 l / 100 km.

The vehicles were still equipped with leaf-sprung rigid axles and wooden or wire-spoke wheels.
