Bruno Wank

Bruno Wank (* 1961 in Marktoberdorf ) is a German sculptor and bronze caster .

Life

Bruno Wank grew up in Marktoberdorf and came into contact with the profession through his father Martin Wank's bronze casting workshop . He began studying sports from 1983 to 1986 at the Technical University of Munich and then studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich as a master student under Olaf Metzel . At the academy he was head of the study workshop for bronze casting from 1993 and from 1998 to 2001 had a teaching position at Helwan University in Cairo , Egypt , in October / November each year . From 2007 to 2009 he was Vice President of the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. From 2008 to 2012 he was a member of the commission at QUIVID, the art-in-building program of the city ​​of Munich . He has been a freelance artist since 1993, lives and works in Munich and Görisried .
