Bubble Days
The Bubble Days are a two-day event in the Linz trading port. The supporting program is made up of street art & graffiti , extreme sports and high-quality live music. There has been a cooperation with Red Bull since 2012 , which means that the “Red Bull Wake of Steel” or “Red Bull Hosted by” takes place during the Bubble Days in Linz. This event is organized by the Linz creative group LI.KIDO. based in the "Boxxoffice". You want to set an example for the Linz culture, creativity and lifestyle on the Danube.
history
The first Linz Bubble Days took place in 2011. The foundation stone was laid with the opening of the newly built box office at the Linz harbor. With this construction, the Linz creative group realized their concept of a more sophisticated variant of container construction with which a modern or urban message could be set. Together with Linz AG and other partners, LI.KIDO. since then the Bubble Days. In 2014 around 16,000 visitors came to the two-day event.
music
The musical program consists of the local hip-hop scene, as well as house and electronic music. In addition to numerous local greats, there were also big city whispers , ear boats and stereo MCs VS Bam or Roots Manuva .

Supporting program
In addition to the music performances and a wakeboard contest, the Bubble Days have numerous other attractions to offer, which differ from year to year. Harbor tours with the shuttle ship, stand up paddling yoga, model building flight demonstrations by the ASKÖ Modellflugcub Linz, street art, visuals and animations, a wide program for children, demonstration by the Red Bull Skydive Team, live painting, graffiti and numerous other art projects.
Red Bull Wake of Steel
The Red Bull “Wake of Steel” is an international wakeboard contest as part of the Linz Bubble Days. The specialty is the globally unique and spectacular obstacle . For this purpose, a shipwreck was scrapped and converted into a parkour. The drivers can use the first day of the event to familiarize themselves with the obstacle; the competition takes place on the Saturday of the event.
In 2012, the young Thai Daniel Grant won. Dominik Hernler (AUT) took over from him a year later. But Daniel Grant (THA) won the title again in 2014 and was able to defend it in 2016, even after a one-year break from the contest.
In 2016 there was also a night session for the first time.
