Constituency history

Since Saxony lost one constituency in the 2009 Bundestag election and a major district reform took place in Saxony in 2008 , most of the Saxon constituencies were redefined. The predecessor constituency Löbau-Zittau - Görlitz - Niesky was expanded to include the northern part of the Lower Silesian Oberlausitzkreis , which previously belonged to the dissolved constituency of Bautzen - Weißwasser . For the 2013 federal election, the number of the constituency of Görlitz was changed from 158 to 157.
