The Cadre 45/2 World Championship in 1925 was the 18th World Championship, which was held until 1947 in Cadre 45/2 and from 1948 in Cadre 47/2. The tournament took place from April 14th to 18th, 1925 in Paris , France.

history

As in 1924, a qualification for places 1 to 6 in the final round was played before the actual tournament. Five players were placed. The remaining sixth place was played by the actors Théo Moons, Marcel van Leemput, Charles Darantière and Jean-Pierre Martenet in round robin mode. The Belgian Théo Moons won this qualification.

Tournament mode

The whole tournament was played in the round robin system up to 400 points. In the event of a tie in MPs (except in the event of a tie for the winner), the following order will be used:

  1. MP = match points
  2. GD = general average
  3. HS = maximum series

history

After the main tournament was over, the first four players had the same number of match points 6-4. A decision was played with all four players in round robin mode. Here Jan Dommering won all three games and became the Cadre 45/2 world champion in 1925.
