The Cadre 45/2 World Championship in 1936 was the 29th World Championship, which was held until 1947 in Cadre 45/2 and from 1948 in Cadre 47/2. The tournament took place in Barcelona from March 25th to 30th, 1936 . It was the first Cadre 45/2 World Championship in Spain.

The tournament started with two groups of 5 players. The last group in each group was eliminated. The games against the eliminated players were not included in the main tournament. After the tournament, René Gabriëls Théo Moons and Jan Sweering each had 10: 4 match points. According to the statutes of the time, the trick games had to decide the winner.

With only two defeats and all tournament best performances, the Belgian René Gabriëls secured his first Cadre 45/2 world championship title. The German champion Walter Lütgehetmann was able to inflict a defeat on him with 400: 69 in 12 shots.

Tournament mode

It was played in the round robin system up to 400 points. In the event of a tie in MPs (except in the event of a tie for the winner), the following order will be used:
