The Cadre 45/2 World Championship in 1929 was the 22nd world championship, which was held in Cadre 45/2 until 1947 and from 1948 in Cadre 47/2. The tournament took place in Marseille from February 20 to 25, 1929 . It was the first world billiards championship in Marseille.

The first three places in this world championship were identical to the results in 1928. In qualifying, Théo Moons set a new amateur world record in the best individual average (BED) with 57.14 .

Tournament mode

Two qualification groups with five players were played. The last group in each group was eliminated. The other eight players played the main tournament. The qualification results of the qualified players were carried over to the main tournament.
