Caity Lotz (* the 30th December 1986 in San Diego , California as Caitlin Marie Lotz ) is an American actress , dancer , singer and model . She was best known for her role as Officer Kirsten Landry in the MTV mockumentary series Death Valley (2011), as Annie in the horror film The Pact (2012) and as Sara Lance / Canary in the CW television series Arrow (2013-2016) and Legends of Tomorrow (since 2016).

Career

Lotz started her career as a dancer and toured with Avril Lavigne and Lady Gaga . She has also appeared in various music videos by famous artists such as Lady Gaga, David Guetta , Selena Gomez , Faith Evans , T-Pain and Cascada . She has also appeared in commercials for Reebok , Jack in the Box and T-Mobile , dances in the web series LXD - Legion of Extraordinary Dancers , toured with the hip-hop theater production Groovaloo and doubled in films such as Step Up 3D . Lotz is also a martial artist who masters Taekwondo , Wushu and Muay Thai . She is also a parkour runner .

In 2005 Lotz joined the girl group Soccx . In 2006 the debut single From Dusk Till Dawn (Get The Party Started) and 2007 the second single Scream Out Loud was released. Both songs were in the top 10 of the German single charts . Her debut album Hold On was also released in 2007. It was followed by the third single Can't Take My Eyes Off You in 2008.

Lotz has worked as a photo model for Men's Health and Esquire - for the latter in connection with the website Me In My Place .

Her acting career began in 2006 with a small role in the cheerleading film Girls United - All or Nothing . In 2010, she played a part in the third episode of Law & Order: LA and a recurring role in the fourth season of AMC's drama series Mad Men as Stephanie.

In 2011 she took on a leading role as Officer Kirsten Landry in the mockumentary series Death Valley .

Lotz played roles in the films Live at the Foxes Den (2013), Battle of the Year: The Dream Team (2013) with Josh Holloway and with Casper Van Dien and Agnes Bruckner in the thriller The Pact , which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in 2012 . She has also appeared in the Arrow series as Sara Lance and Canary since 2013 and can be seen as White Canary in the series' spin-off , Legends of Tomorrow .
