The California State University, Northridge (including CSUN , Cal State Northridge or C-Sun is called) is a state university in Los Angeles in the US state of California . With around 33,000 students, it is one of the largest colleges in the California State University system.
history
The C-Sun was founded in 1958 as the San Fernando Valley State College . In 1972 it was given its current name.
Sports
The C-Sun sports teams are the matadors . The university is a member of the Big West Conference .
Others
In 2008, scenes for Star Trek were filmed on the university campus . The library building served here as a model for the Starfleet Academy in the Star Trek universe.
