Camerata Picena is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 2547 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Ancona in Marche . The municipality is located about 13.5 kilometers west-southwest of Ancona . The Esino forms the western municipal boundary.

history

The first mention of the community goes back to a document from the period between 1000 and 1010. In 1309 there was a battle between the troops of Jesi and Ancona. One of Ancona's castles still stands in the district of Cassero .

traffic

The multi-lane road Strada Statale 76 di Val d'Esino and the A14 autostrada run from Bologna to southern Italy through the municipality . However, there is no connection.
