The municipality is located about 14.5 kilometers south-southeast of Ancona on the Adriatic coast . The southern municipal boundary is the Musone , the southwest of the Aspio . Numana borders the Macerata Province .

history

Presumably Numana is a Doric city ​​foundation. With the battle of Sentinum in 295 BC, the place came under the rule of Rome. In 1928 the village of Sirolo was amalgamated.
