Campeonato da Liga 1935/36

The Campeonato da Liga 1936/37 was the third audition season of the top Portuguese division in men's football. It began on January 10, 1937 and ended on May 2, 1937.

The official start of the first division in 1938/39 was preceded by four trial seasons. The winners in these four years of the Campeonato da Liga were called Campeão de Liga (= league champions). While the Federação Portuguesa de Futebol (FPF) lists these titles in a separate list, i.e. does not officially evaluate them, the clubs add them to their national championship titles. The title Campeão de Portugal (= Portuguese champion) was held in the parallel running competition Campeonato de Portugal in knockout mode.

In the third trial season, Benfica Lisbon became league champions for the second time.
