Primeira Divisão 1972/73

The Primeira Divisão 1973/74 was the 40th season of the top Portuguese division in men's football. It began on September 19, 1973 and ended on May 19, 1974.

Sporting Lisbon became Portuguese champions for the 14th time. With his 46 goals, the Argentine Héctor Yazalde made a significant contribution to the title and is the previous record holder in Portugal. He was also the first non-European to receive the Golden Shoe as Europe's top goalscorer.
