The Primeira Divisão 1998/99 was the 65th season of the top Portuguese division in men's football. It began on August 21, 1998 and ended on May 30, 1999.

FC Porto became Portuguese champions for the fifth time in a row. It was the 18th championship title for Porto. Mário Jardel received the Golden Shoe for his 36 goals .
