Primeira Divisão 1941/42

The Primeira Divisão 1942/43 was the ninth season of the top Portuguese division in men's football. The league operation continued undisturbed during the Second World War , as Portugal declared itself neutral . The game was played from January 10, 1943 to May 16, 1943.

The championship title was secured for the fifth time by Benfica Lisbon .

Until 1948, the teams that could qualify through the regional tournaments were eligible. Ascent and descent were only introduced afterwards.

This season the field of participants decreased from twelve to ten teams. Unidos FC from Barreiro was new .
