Primeira Divisão 1954/55

The Primeira Divisão 1955/56 was the 22nd season of the top Portuguese division in men's football. It began on September 18, 1955 and ended on April 29, 1956.

As in the last season, two teams were tied at the top of the table at the end of the season. FC Porto became Portuguese champions for the fourth time based on a direct comparison. Defending champions Benfica Lisbon finished second.
