The Primeira Divisão 1946/47 was the 13th season of the top Portuguese league in men's football. It began on November 24, 1946 and ended on July 6, 1947.

The championship title was secured for the third time by Sporting Lisbon .

Until 1948, the teams that could qualify through the regional tournaments were eligible. Ascent and descent were only introduced afterwards.

This season the number of participating teams increased from twelve to fourteen. FC Famalicão and AD Sanjoanense participated for the first time.
