Carl Corazzini (born April 21, 1979 in Framingham , Massachusetts ) is an American ice hockey player who last played in the 2010/11 season for the Straubing Tigers from the German Ice Hockey League .
Career
Corazzini began his career on the high school hockey team at St. Sebastian's Arrows before joining the Boston University team in 1997, where he played for four years. In his debut year, he was elected to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team. After graduating, he signed a free agent contract with the Boston Bruins and initially worked with their farm teams , the Providence Bruins and the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies . In the 2003/04 season , the striker ran for the first time for the Boston Bruins and scored two goals in twelve games, but was mainly used in the AHL team in Providence.
During the 2004/05 season Corazzini was committed by the Hershey Bears , where he came in 52 games on 23 scorer points . After the season he went as a free agent to league rivals Norfolk Admirals , where he was used in the 2006/07 season again in the National Hockey League with the Chicago Blackhawks . After his contract expired, the center signed with the Detroit Red Wings in 2007 , but was only used with the Grand Rapids Griffins . At the end of the season, the Edmonton Oilers secured his services and transferred him to their farm team Springfield Falcons , which he left after a year and moved to the Peoria Rivermen .
In 2009, the right-handed shooter went to Europe for the first time and was hired there by the Swedish second division club VIK Västerås HK , which he left after five games in the direction of Pelicans Lahti from the Finnish SM-liiga . Shortly before the end of the transition period in January 2010, ERC Ingolstadt signed the striker. There he had eight goals and six assists in 25 games. In the 2010/11 season Corazzini played for the Straubing Tigers .
