Caroline Rotich (born May 13, 1984 in Nyahururu ) is a Kenyan marathon runner .

Life

Caroline Rotich attended a high school in Gakuen (Japan) on a scholarship , which was also attended by Sammy Wanjiru . She is fluent in English, Japanese and Kiswah . She trains in the United States at the Santa Fe Road Runners Club camp .

Career

In 2009 she won the Las Vegas Marathon . The following year, she finished tenth in the New York Mini 10K , sixth in the Philadelphia Half Marathon , won the Boston Half Marathon and finished eighth in the New York City Marathon .

In 2011 she won the New York City Half Marathon , was fourth at the Boston Marathon , came 29th at the World Athletics Championships in Daegu and was seventh at the New York City Marathon.

In 2012, she finished eighth in the New York City Half Marathon. In April 2015, she won the Boston Marathon .
