Tracy Caulkins
Tracy Ann Caulkins (born January 11, 1963 in Winona , Minnesota ) is an American former swimmer .
Career
Caulkins mastered all swimming styles equally and therefore had her greatest successes in swimming medley from the age of 15 .
She celebrated her first major successes as a 15-year-old at the 1978 World Championships in Berlin , where she won five gold medals and one silver medal.
She was considered a big favorite at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow , in which she could not take part because of the Olympic boycott. At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles , she was Olympic champion in both the 200 m medley and the 400 m medley. She also won gold as a breaststroke swimmer in the 4 × 100 m individual medley relay of the Americans.
She is married to former Australian swimmer Mark Stockwell and lives with her family in Australia .
