Charles Linglet (born June 22, 1982 in Montréal , Québec ) is a Canadian ice hockey player with Belarusian citizenship who has been under contract with the Cardiff Devils in the EIHL since 2018 .
Career
Charles Linglet began his career as a hockey player with Drakkar de Baie-Comeau , for which he was active from 1999 to 2003 in the Canadian junior league Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec . He then played from 2003 to 2005 for the Alaska Aces in the ECHL . At the same time, the winger also played seven games for the Utah Grizzlies in the American Hockey League in the 2003/04 season . From 2005 to 2009 he was under contract with the Peoria Rivermen in the AHL, where he played parallel for the Las Vegas Wranglers in the ECHL in the 2005/06 season and switched to AHL league rivals Springfield Falcons during the 2008/09 season. For their cooperation partner Edmonton Oilers , he completed five games in the National Hockey League in the 2009/10 season .
For the 2010/11 season Linglet was signed by Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod from the Continental Hockey League . In May 2011, the Canadian received a contract with HK Dinamo Minsk and took on Belarusian citizenship during the 2011/12 season. In January 2013, his contract with Dinamo was prematurely terminated and Linglet moved to the National League A for HC Lugano . For this he completed only eight missions and was signed by the KHL newcomer KHL Medveščak Zagreb at the end of May 2013 .
In May 2014 he returned to HK Dinamo Minsk, where he played until November 2016. Between the end of December 2016 and the end of January 2017, he played eleven games for the Finnish first division club Tappara Tampere before moving to the Eisbären Berlin in the German Ice Hockey League . After the 2016/17 season he returned to HK Dinamo Minsk.
