Christ Church

The Christ Church is a Lutheran church in the 14th  Grazer district Eggenberg and parish church of the parish Graz-Eggenberg .

description

An evangelical preaching station, which had existed in Eggenberg since the turn of the 20th century, became its own parish in 1923. The church was only built in 1931 with the support of the Gustav Adolf Association and the Swiss Aid Association in Baierdorf. The modern and simple sacred building has an open porch and is only marked as a church from the outside by a cross. In the interior there is a crucifix by the Graz sculptor Wilhelm Gösser and a baroque organ, which presumably comes from a Catholic church in the Deutschlandsberg community of Trahütten .
