Clément Nicolas Laurent Lenglet (born June 17, 1995 in Beauvais ) is a French football player who has been under contract with the Spanish first division club FC Barcelona since the 2018/19 season .

Club career

Clément Lenglet joined the youth of AMS Montchevreuil in Fresneaux-Montchevreuil in 2001 . After six years he moved to the US Chantilly. He spent his youth in Chantilly until 2010 when he moved to AS Nancy . Almost two years later he was used for the first time at the age of 16 in the club's second team.

Lenglet made his professional football debut on September 27, 2013 when he was called up from the start in the second division match against AC Arles-Avignon and played through the game to the end.

In January 2017 he was signed by the Spanish first division club Sevilla FC , where he immediately earned a regular place.

For the 2018/19 season, Lenglet moved to FC Barcelona , who drew the release clause in the amount of 35.9 million euros and provided him with a contract with a term until June 30, 2023 as well as a release clause of 300 million euros.
