Anssumane "Ansu" Fati Vieira (born October 31, 2002 in Bissau ) is a Spanish - Guinea-Bissau football player . The winger , who came to Spain as a 6-year-old and assumed Spanish citizenship at the age of 16 , has played for FC Barcelona since his youth and is a Spanish U21 international .

Personal

Ansu Fati's father was also a football player and played, among other things, at a semi-professional level at Benfica Bissau . In 1998 he emigrated alone from the former Portuguese colony of Guinea-Bissau to Portugal to earn money for the family. 2009 to 2019: beginnings

Like his father, Fati also played for CDF Herrera (2009 to 2010) and then moved to Sevilla FC for two years (2010 to 2012). At the age of 10, FC Barcelona showed interest in Fati and recorded it in La Masia in 2012 . He had also had the option to play for Real Madrid , which his family ultimately refused.
