Juan Miranda González (born January 19, 2000 in Olivares ) is a Spanish football player . The left full-back is under contract with FC Barcelona .

Career

Miranda joined the FC Barcelona youth team from Betis Sevilla in June 2014 . After he was able to recommend himself in the various youth departments, he made his debut on August 19, 2017 in the 2-1 away win against Real Valladolid in the reserve team of Blaugrana . During this season he won the 2017/18 UEFA Youth League with the U19s . He scored his first goal on January 27, 2018 in a 3-0 home win against Granada CF in the Segunda División .

On December 11, 2018, Miranda made her debut for the first team in the 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League .

On August 30, 2019, Juan Miranda switched to the German Bundesliga for FC Schalke 04 on loan for two years . On the left defensive flank, the Spaniard was unable to prevail against Bastian Oczipka and only played twelve competitive games, the last six of which were in the starting line-up. Only two games in which Miranda came up could be won, at the end of the season they were twelfth in the table. After the season, FC Barcelona announced the early loan end.

In August 2020, Miranda started small group training at FC Barcelona with other players who did not take part in the final tournament of the Champions League .

National team

Miranda has represented his home country in various youth selections so far, starting with the U16 . With the U17 he won the 2017 European Championship . At the U17 World Cup in the same year, England failed in the final . With the U19 of his home country he also became European champion when Portugal was defeated in the final in 2019 .
