Matheus Fernandes Siqueira (born June 30, 1998 in Itaboraí ) is a Brazilian soccer player who has been under contract with FC Barcelona since August 2020 . The midfielder is a former Brazilian junior international.

Career

Matheus Fernandes comes from the youth department of Botafogo FR and was promoted to the first team squad by head coach Jair Ventura for the 2016 season . On June 12, 2016 (7th matchday), he made his debut in the top Brazilian division in a 1-1 draw against EC Vitória when he came on for Airton Ribeiro in the 64th minute of the game .
