Location of the association of municipalities in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region

The Tulle Agglo is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the department of Corrèze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It was founded on December 16, 1993 and comprises 43 municipalities (as of January 1, 2019). The administrative headquarters are in the city of Tulle .

Historical development

The association, which originally consisted of 37 municipalities, was expanded by eight municipalities with effect from January 1, 2017 through the dissolution of some municipal associations.

On January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Lagarde-Enval and Marc-la-Tour formed the Commune nouvelle Lagarde-Marc-la-Tour and the former municipalities of Laguenne and Saint-Bonnet-Avalouze formed the Commune nouvelle Laguenne-sur-Avalouze . This reduced the number of member communities to 43.
