Alpecin-Fenix is a Belgian cycling team based in Herentals .
The team was founded in 2009 under the name BKCP-Powerplus and emerged partly from the Palmans-Cras team . The team initially had a license as a UCI Continental Team and offered cyclocross specialists a limited road cycling program. In 2014, the team signed Mathieu van der Poel and received a license as a Professional Continental Team in 2019 under the name Corendon-Circus . With this license, the team took part in races of the UCI WorldTour 2019 and won the Amstel Gold Race with van der Poel Dwars door Vlaanderen . For the 2020 season, the German shampoo brand Alpecin - previously the main sponsor of the Giant-Alpecin and Katusha Alpecin teams - and the Italian interior designer Fenix gave the team its name.
The manager is Philip Roodhooft, who is supported by the sporting director Christoph Roodhooft .
