The DEL2 Event Game is an ice hockey game that will be played regularly from 2016 onwards. It is a regular DEL2 league game that will be relocated to a football stadium or another venue based on the concept of the DEL Winter Games .

Emergence

In April 2015, the DEL2 management decided to introduce the DEL2 Event Game based on the DEL Winter Game , whereby the clubs should be left open to the choice of the venue and the type of event. In May 2015, the Dresdner Eislöwen applied to host the first event game.
