Daniel Faust (* 1976 in Neuwied ) is a German actor and speaker.

Career

Daniel Faust is the son of Petra and Jürgen Faust . After having previously taken on minor extras at the Koblenz City Theater , he attended the Academy for Performing Arts in Rhineland-Palatinate in 2003 , where he received his stage maturity in 2007 . In the same year he moved to Berlin.

In addition to short and advertising films, there was also collaboration with directors such as Marc-Andreas Bochert or Olaf Ittenbach and participation in cinema and television films, including empathy , which won the German Camera Prize at the Munich Film Festival in 2010 . He also speaks in radio play productions and works as a dubbing and voiceover speaker.

He is also active on the theater stage from time to time. The stage for human rights , in which he participated, was honored in 2012 in the Red City Hall in Berlin by Wolfgang Benz and Klaus Wowereit in the nationwide competition Active for Democracy and Tolerance as one of the exemplary initiatives.

In autumn 2011 there was a collaboration with the scriptwriter and producer Billy MacKinnon ( Das Piano , Marrakech ) under the direction of Emily Kuhnke in the short film Elevator / The Lift, shot in Berlin .

The commercial A Pair of Shoes , in which he played the leading role alongside Patrick Kalupa , was awarded the big KLAPPE as the clear winner by the audience and the expert jury at the most important German-language competition for commercial films of the communication association DIE KLAPPE in March 2013 .

In 2013, Faust appeared in Albert Pyun's Cyborg Nemesis - The Dark Rift , which was filmed in Las Vegas , Nevada. The film is a prequel to the 1989 film Cyborg with Jean-Claude Van Damme and also makes reference to the 1993 film Nemesis with Olivier Gruner and Thomas Jane .

In the same year he played a role in the Polish film Kamienie na szaniec (Stones on a Hill), directed by Robert Gliński and camera work by Paweł Edelman , who was nominated for an Oscar for Roman Polański's The Pianist . The film is a literary adaptation of the book of the same name by Aleksander Kamiński .

In 2015 the episode horror film German Angst was released , in which he played the neo-Nazi Gottfried in a supporting role. Directed by Andreas Marschall , Jörg Buttgereit and Michal Kosakowski.

In 2016 he also played the role of forensic scientist Justus Bismarck in the first season of the Sat1 crime series Operation in Cologne and will be in a supporting role in the feature film How Men About Women from May 12, 2016 nationwide in German cinemas to see talking .
