Dubai - Abu Dhabi is the title of a German-Austrian romance film from 2007 . The television film is the eighth part of the film series Das Traumhotel .
action
General Manager Markus Winter visits the Emirates Palace Hotel of his Siethoff Group in the United Arab Emirates . On the one hand, he would like to appraise the renovations that have been carried out; on the other hand, he has contract negotiations with his tourism partner World Wide Tours in hand. His negotiating partner for the first time is the tough and unapproachable businesswoman Sarah Reimers, who wants to convert the concept of the hotel from a noble luxury hostel to mass tourism and save massive costs. Markus has to come up with a few ideas to convince Ms. Reimers of the uniqueness of his hotel complex. Finally, a trip through the desert and an overnight stay in a Bedouin camp break the ice.
Anna Rothmann is an interior designer and decorator at the Emirates Palace Hotel. She has had a romantic pen pal for some time and is looking forward to the visit of what appears to be her pen friend, Maximilian König, in whose letter she believes she has discovered a kindred spirit. When Maximilian arrives with his friend Holger Ritter, she soon realizes that he is a completely different person than his letters suggested. Max from the letters is sensitive, educated and a connoisseur of art, qualities that the real Max completely lacks. As it soon turns out, it wasn't Max who wrote the letters, but Holger. Anna and Holger immediately find each other likeable and after some turbulence they also find each other.
The single parent Renate Frey would like to finally introduce his father Lutz Kemper to her son Tobias. Lutz, who doesn't know that he has a son, works as a boat builder in Dubai and runs boat trips. On one of these excursions Lutz and Tobias get to know and appreciate each other, not realizing that they are father and son. Before Renate, Lutz and Thomas become a family, a few obstacles still have to be overcome.
