action
General manager Markus Winter inspects the luxury resort of his Siethoff Group in Malaysia . His good friend Jennifer Hofmann, who owns a small hotel there and has been a widow for half a year, got into trouble. The ruthless businessman Mr. Wong wants to appropriate their hotel and insists on a clause in the present lease. Markus Winter quickly suspects that the contract is not entirely complete. Together with Jennifer and her little son Tom, Markus sets out to find Jennifer's silent partner Daniel Falk, who retired to the Malaysian jungle years ago. When Daniel Falk is finally found and presents his copy of the lease, Markus' assumption is confirmed. Gritting his teeth, Mr. Wong gives up his claim.
Hotel guest and department store magnate Lorenz Henschel is also in negotiations with Mr. Wong. Lorenz wants to build another department store in Malaysia and is looking for a suitable plot of land. Wong offers a centrally located area in the old town, on which a community center and old temples are currently located. At first Lorenz is not averse, but his attractive assistant Sonja Lehmann is so appalled by this ruthlessness towards the local population that she submits her resignation. Lorenz now realizes that Sonja means more to him than he previously wanted to admit. He distances himself from his plans and wins the heart of his assistant for it.
The star pianist Sascha Sorell has had a dirty divorce and the associated press campaign and wants to relax incognito in the dream hotel. Here he met the single journalist Sabine Kilian, who came with her little daughter Marie. Sabine quickly sees through Sascha's incognito. With an exclusive report on the pianist, she can get her lost job back with a tabloid. Although she has fallen in love with Sascha and also finds mutual love, she cannot resist the temptation.
