The twelfth season of the American animated series The Simpsons was broadcast from November 1, 2000 to May 20, 2001 on the US broadcaster Fox . The German-language free TV first broadcast was broadcast by ProSieben from September 24, 2001 to February 18, 2002.

The season was released on August 18, 2009 in the United States and October 1, 2009 in Germany on DVD.
