Dornstadt-Linkersbaindt is a 17.95 km² municipality-free area in the Donau-Ries district in Swabia in Bavaria .

The area forms part of the Oettinger Forest , the main owner of the area is the Princely House of Oettingen-Spielberg .

In 2008 , Albrecht Fürst zu Oettingen-Spielberg had a massive game fence built around the Oettinger Forest to protect the surrounding fields from devastation by wild boars . However, the fence was controversial and had to be partially dismantled in the following years due to court rulings . The town Oettingen made the request, the previously unincorporated area in their municipality to incorporate . A corresponding application is currently being examined in the Donau-Ries district office . Community freedom has not yet been revoked.
