The Dresdner Kapellsolisten are a German chamber orchestra from Dresden .

history

The orchestra was founded in 1994 . It is made up of musicians from the Saxon State Orchestra and the Dresden Philharmonic ; individual members of the ensemble are also active in the Dresden Trumpet Consort . In contrast to other orchestras, equal cooperation with one another is particularly important to the Kapellolisten: Even Helmut Branny , the head of the ensemble, sees himself as a normal orchestra member.

The orchestra's repertoire ranges from the Baroque to the Romantic era . The Dresden Kapellsolisten repeatedly make music together with other musicians such as Viktoria Mullova , Isabelle van Keulen , Maurice André , François Leleux , Mirijam Contzen , Axel Köhler , Mathias Schmutzler , Peter Rösel , Jan Vogler , Danjulo Ishizaka , Matthias Goerne , Alison Balsom , Albrecht Mayer , Peter Schreier , Nils Mönkemeyer , Martin Stadtfeld , Dorothee Oberlinger , Gábor Boldoczki , Sergei Nakariakov and Lise de la Salle .

Numerous radio broadcasts were produced with the orchestra on MDR , NDR , Deutsche Welle and DeutschlandRadio Berlin .

Lively concert activity takes the Dresden Kapellsolisten to all major music centers in Germany as well as to music festivals in Europe and Asia. They have been a welcome guest for many years at the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Festival , the Choriner Music Summer , the Rheingau Music Festival , the Würzburg Mozart Festival , the Kissinger Summer , the MDR Music Summer , the Festival Mitte Europa or the Walkenried cloister concerts .

Various CD recordings are available.
