European Football League 1995

Twelve teams from eleven countries took part in the 1995 season of the European Football League . For Germany , the Düsseldorf Panthers , German champions from 1994, took part. Four teams were seeded for the quarter-finals, another four were determined in a qualifying round. The Panthers first had to compete in the quarter-finals in Vienna at the Vienna Vikings . There they won 15-0. In the semifinals they then prevailed in front of their own audience 35 to 31 against the Italian representative Legnano Frogs . In the Eurobowl IX , the Düsseldorf Panthers met defending champions London Olympians in front of 16,850 spectators in the Gottlieb Daimler Stadium in Stuttgart . The Panthers had the upper hand with 21 to 14 and were the first German team to win the Eurobowl.
