Eberhard IV von Starhemberg (* 1360 ; † February 8, 1429 in Salzburg) was Archbishop of Salzburg from 1427 to 1429 .

The archbishop came from the powerful Starhemberg ministerial family with their ancestral castle Storchenberg or Stahrnberg in Haag am Hausruck . He was born in 1360 as the second son of Rüdiger III. von Starhemberg and his second wife Anna von Dachsberg born. In his youth he studied theology at the University of Paris , where he received his doctorate. He became dean of the Salzburg cathedral chapter early on.

During his short term in office, the archbishop tried very hard to maintain an orderly administration and made many lendings. He also conscientiously ensured that the castles and palaces were adequately defensive.

Eberhard von Starhemberg died on February 8, 1429 in Salzburg and was buried in the cathedral in the St. Anna chapel . A portrait with an inscription of him is in Eferding Castle .
