The Egyptian Premier League 1953/54 was the fifth season of the Egyptian Premier League , the highest Egyptian championship in football . Champion was al Ahly SC for the fifth time in a row , Al-Sekka Al-Hadid was relegated . Port Fuad was no longer represented in the top division , while Olympic El Qanah FC was new to the league . the Egyptian record set in the previous season with 3.47 goals per game was beaten by 0.23 goals per game with 3.7 goals per game.
Participating teams
The following ten teams took part in the Egyptian Premier League in the 1953/54 season. As before, three teams came from Alexandria , two teams each from Giza and Cairo and one from Port Said . For the first time no team came from Port Fuad and for the first time two teams came from Ismailia .
