content

Christine should actually be happy: Her father is a wealthy lord of the castle in Bavaria and she is engaged to the handsome Ronald Henning herself. The wedding is supposed to take place in September and yet Christine would like to break out of the golden cage, especially since she sees in her relative Erika an example of a self-confident woman who leads her admirers by the nose.

Forest student Peter wants to earn a little money for his studies during the holidays and takes a part-time job at the gas station , which his best friend Willi also works at. He, in turn, wanted to organize a vacation acquaintance for Peter and placed a corresponding advertisement in the newspaper. Interested women should identify themselves with a dahlia . Peter is not very enthusiastic because he prefers to spend his free time on the books. When Willi falls head over heels in love with what appears to be a Spaniard and brings the lady, who is actually Erika, to the castle, a car promptly pulls up at the petrol station, the driver of which has dahlias in her basket. It's Christine and Peter thinks she's responding to Willi's ad. Christine is initially puzzled, but goes into Peter's game. They meet the next day and "secretly" go for a walk in the palace gardens. They also spend the following day together and enjoy the togetherness at Lake Starnberg. When Peter and Willi ride in a boat on Lake Starnberg in the evening, Peter sees Christine and her fiancé Ronald at the landing stage. Disappointed, he turns away from her and she waits in vain for him the next day.

Willi also had to find out that his Spaniard is actually Erika, who belongs to the castle owner's family. She treats him from above at first, but quickly takes a liking to him. At the gas station, Willi "saves" the somewhat crazy Elfriede from the British Jackie. While Elfriede thought to be kidnapped by Jackie, Jackie only wants to go to the castle, where he hopes to meet his beloved Erika. He really wants to marry her, which she always refuses to do. Elfriede persuades Willi to be allowed to spend the night in the gas station. At the same time, Christine and Erika flee Jackie to the gas station, where they hope to meet Peter and have a chat with him. Instead, they see Willi with Elfriede, whereupon Erika terminates the relationship with Willi.

When Erika and Christine see Willi and Peter water skiing a few days later , they sail to them on the lake to have a word with them. When their boat capsizes, they are rescued by the two men. Then Peter and Christine speak out. She will get married in four weeks. Because she actually loves Peter, she wants to confide in her father, but he sees her infatuation only as a childish crush.

A few weeks later, Christine and Erika are in Munich for a wedding dress rehearsal. The wedding has been postponed by three weeks. They meet Elfriede, who tells them that Peter is studying in Munich and that Willi now also has his own luxury gas station in Munich. While Jackie, who is also present, falls in love with Elfriede, Erika goes to Willi and both end up as a couple after a night of partying. Christine meets Peter at Geschwister-Scholl-Platz in front of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität and both decide to spend one last day together in Munich, because Peter will fly to Canada on the day of Christine's wedding to take a job. After the last dance together, both say goodbye. In the morning Peter stands at Munich-Riem Airport. As he is about to board his plane, Christine comes running across the apron. She spoke again with her father, who agreed to a relationship between the two.
