Emily Bergl (born April 25, 1975 in Milton Keynes , England ) is a British - American film and stage actress .

Life

Emily Bergl was born to a British father and an Irish mother in 1975 in Milton Keynes, a town in southern England. At the age of six, she and her family moved to Chicago, United States. She attended Glenbrook South High School and later Grinnell College, where she took part in various performances, with Phi Beta Kappa recording, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English and theater. In order to promote her acting career, Bergl then moved to New York City , where she took part in several theater productions; at the same time, she was invited to several auditions until she was finally offered the lead role of Rachel Lang in Katt Shea's Carrie 2 - The Revenge . For her performance, Bergl received a nomination for the Saturn Award 2000 for " Best Young Actor ".

After the shooting of her first film was over, further film and television productions followed. Parallel to her screen career, she successfully played theater.
