Enciso is a Colombian municipality (municipio) in the department of Santander and belongs to the province of Garcia Rovira .

geography

The municipality is located five kilometers southeast of Málaga in the valley of the Río Servitá at an altitude of 1583  m

After Bucaramanga , capital of Santander, is 173 km and to Bogota , the capital of Colombia, there are 359 km.

The municipality borders Concepción in the north, Carcasí and San Miguel in the east, Capitanejo in the south and San José de Miranda and Málaga in the west .

history

The place Enciso was founded in 1773 by Juan de Enciso.
