Charala is a municipality (municipio) in the department of Santander in Colombia .

The municipality of Charalá is located in the province of Guanentá in southeastern Santander in the Colombian Andes, 135 km from Bucaramanga at an altitude of 1290 meters and has an average annual temperature of around 21 ° C. history
