Production notes

The filming of Message of the Gods took Reinl to Europe, South America, Australia and Africa. The film was shot on 104 days between April and November 1975. The FSK examination took place on March 2, 1976. The world premiere took place on March 18, 1976.

The film is based on the works of Däniken's Saat and Kosmos, My World in Pictures and Appearances . Scriptwriter Manfred Barthel also did the commentary and was also the line producer, while Konstantin Thoeren and Dieter Nobbe were responsible for the production line. Harald Leipnitz , Herbert Weicker and Horst Naumann acted as speakers .

As with the previous film adaptation of the non-fiction bestseller Memories of the Future and the following ... and the Bible is right , Reinl also worked here with the author Barthel and the head cameraman Ernst Wild .

The English version was designed by Charles Romine . There William Shatner acted as spokesman.
